A common theme of the open and welcoming
nature of Christ is included in the two latest
religious sculptures Pogue has created.
The first one, "Welcoming Christ" is at First
United Methodist Church in Marble Falls, Texas.
Christ is in a welcoming mode in the
Remembrance Garden with remembrance pavers
and granite benches for meditation.
Trees and greenery enhance the area.
This was done in conjunction with the
church's 125th anniversary celebration in 2014.
The five foot bronze sculpture is atop a
granite pedestal. The children of the church
placed their thumbprints around the base of
the sculpture. Known as the welcoming church,
this new sculpture will express love to all. Matthew 12:28
