Mr. Pogue has made a long term commitment to the Marble Falls community and the promotion of public sculpture in the town. He helped found the public art program now sponsored by the Highland Lakes Creative Arts group. It is currently in its eleventh year. The statues are on display for one year (October to October) all along the side walks and medians of Historic Main Street.

Sculptures are picked each year to be on loan and cash awards are given. Corporate and individual sponsors help fund the event, along with the Community Art Fund. All the sculptures are for sale.

Dan's work is also displayed in the public sculpture garden on the grounds of the Pogue Gallery here in Marble Falls. It is a beautiful setting under a grove of Live Oak Trees and a dry / wet weather creek. The Gallery hosts several tours and fund raising events during the year for different groups. They lead ongoing tours of the gallery and the Sculpture on Main exhibit in Marble Falls. You are welcome to call and arrange for a tour for your group or on an individual basis.
